Russ and his pop group Scooch represented the UK at last year's Eurovision Song Contest, beating tough competition from the likes of Justin Hawkins and Brian Harvey. The British public voted in their scores for Scooch to fly the flag.

Russ co-wrote the song Flying The Flag (For You), signed to Warner Music and stormed the UK charts to the number five position in May.

Originally formed in 1999, Scooch signed to EMI Records and gained four top twenty hits including the massive top five single More Than I Needed to Know, all culminating in the hit album Four Sure.

Worldwide Scooch have had number one singles in Japan and Australia.
